Google Goggles -
Even though the beginning of this video made me want to stop watching it, I pushed through and watched the whole 2 minutes of it.
This is the most excited I have been over something I know nothing about. LOL
This video just goes to show you how IMPORTANT it is to have at least a website, if nothing else. As I was watching this video I had all sorts of ideas for my husband’s Home Inspection business here in Florida. For anyone to be able to take a picture of his business card and have Google Goggles find all his information online is absolutely…PRICELESS!
This is the funny part. I have only done a (very) little bit of research on the Android but the questions I had I was able to find the answers to. Below are the questions I had followed by what I found out from reading JR Raphael of PC World’s article Confirmed: Google Goggles Will Reach Other Platforms
- I have the Blackberry Curve. Is the Android something I can download to my Blackberry? If so, how?
As of right now the only way to try Google Goggles is if you have an Android user. - Does it matter what provider you are with? (I am with Verizon)
The only thing that matters right now is if you are an Android user. It does not appear to matter what provider you use. - Do you have to purchase a phone that already has the Android app?
If you want to use the Google Goggles today (12-10-09) then yes! However, Google does plan on making Goggles available on other platforms but does not have an ETA.
I know one thing is for sure. When Google Goggles becomes available for the Blackberry then I will be jumping all over it. This really is the way the future is going.
Everything is going to be at your fingertips.
